Cookies
The one cookie we set, the one Cloudflare sets, and what stays in your browser.
The short version
Aroundstay uses no advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics that follow you around the web. That is why there is no cookie banner. The site sets one cookie of its own, to keep you signed in, and Cloudflare sets one to protect the site. Your currency, dates and saved trip live in your own browser's storage until you clear them.
Cookies
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| asg | Aroundstay | Keeps you signed in after you use a sign-in link from your email, so Hudson and your saved trips are available on our pages. | 180 days, or until you sign out or delete your profile. |
| __cf_bm and similar | Cloudflare | Tells genuine visitors from automated traffic and protects the site from attacks. Strictly necessary. | Up to 30 minutes. |
Browser storage
Some settings are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. Nothing in it is sent to us unless you sign in and save a trip.
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
| aroundstay | The hotels and places you have added to your trip while not signed in. |
| as_dates | The dates and number of guests you last entered, so every page shows prices for the same stay. |
| as_cur | The currency you chose. |
Other companies' cookies
If you book through a provider from our pages, or open a hotel's or a venue's own website, that site sets its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over those.
How to clear them
Every browser lets you delete cookies and site data for aroundstay.com in its settings. Deleting them signs you out and clears your unsaved trip and settings; nothing else changes.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
